Two things I like more than anything else are writing and music. Sometimes I mix the two together and write music (although not very often). I usually write poetry, but I'll also write essays (usually for school) and short stories. I started a couple novels, but gave up on two of them and haven't worked on the other since around March. Hopefully I'll be able to get working on it soon! I also have a script or two in mind for a play or movie. But I haven't started it yet, and don't know when I will. Yeah...I know...I'm a procrastinator with a capital "P". I also LOVE to play the piano. Since a fullsize piano doesn't exactly fit in my small bedroom, I went out to Radio Shack and bought a nice fullsize keyboard. It's awesome! I usually play a couple times a day. When I play, it's like I'm in another world where all my troubles and worries and stress are left far behind. I haven't written many songs (actually, only two to be exact) but always try to come up with something new. The first song I composed is entitled "Song For Beverly" which I dedicated to my grandmother, Beverly Bouwhuis Cole, when she passed away in January of 1999. The interesting thing is that I started the song while she was still alive, but it didn't have an ending. But then when she died, just like her life on Earth ended, my song received an ending. But like my song, my grandmother still lives on...somewhere wonderful...deep inside my heart. I'd like to share my writings and music with you, so click on the categories below.
